This assessment tool has been developed to provide indicators with which States can begin to measure progress in implementing recommendations on the participation of children and young people.

The Council of Europe Children's Rights Division and Youth Department have published the Child Participation Assessment Tool [PDF] which identifies 'indicators for measuring progress in promoting the right of children and young people under the age of 18 to participate in matters of concern to them'.
This assessment tool has been developed to provide specific and measurable indicators with which States can begin to measure progress in implementing recommendations on the participation of children and young people.
This tool provides 10 basic indicators which includes:'training in child participation is embedded in training programmes for professionals working with and for children' and 'children are provided with information about their right to participate'.
Look to see how you might be able to use the assessment tool [PDF] in your own work.
