You Respond: Promoting effective project participation by young people who have experienced violence

This training guide provides learning materials for those working with young people who have experienced violence.
The project 'You Respond' brought together academics and agencies working with young people who had experienced various forms of violence in Europe.
Through consulting the literature and listening to the views of young people, the 'promoters and inhibitors of participation' were identified. These findings were used to develop this training guide which provides learning materials for those working with young people.
The guide is divided into the following modules.

• Being an effective facilitator
• Preparation: setting the scene for effective participation
• Working with children and young people in participatory projects
